Greetings (prospective) Vikings,
You found us! We are RASA, the overarching student association of University College Roosevelt, responsible for the organisation of social events here on campus. We do so with the help of our committees, made up of societies and teams. These committees are all student-run, and represent the variety of interests of the student body! We have committees for sports, photography, cooking, theatre, parties, and we have teams for the organisation of events such as our yearly summer trips and Christmas Gala, and even the publication of a yearbook. As members of RASA (which you are by being a student at UCR), you can join the boards of these committees, and take part in their events. The good news is, you do not need to be a member of a committee to take part in an event, so you can sample as many parts of our student life as you wish.
Our job, as RASA, is to oversee all of these committees, and support them in their endeavours. Take a look here to see which societies are interesting to you. If you see that there is a massive gap that none of our committees fill, you have the power to start your own!
Aside from the committees, we also organise our own events, the biggest of which is the Orientation Week we hold each semester for new students! We introduce them to RASA, Middelburg, and make sure they have a lot of fun getting to know each other.
